Awesome vibes, awesome food, and the best thing ever was that on a hot summer day, we could bring our dog on the patio!!!!!

We ate lunch here August 2017 after a brisk hike at Botanical Beach Provincial Park. The Cafe was exactly what we needed; warm, inviting aroma's including fresh cinnamon buns cooling on the counter. Great rustic atmosphere with lots of wood. Busy, perhaps it is the only restaurant in the area?

Price = 4 stars, not cheap, but OK considering remote location

The calamari was wayyyy undercooked and the 30....yes 30 dollar 2 piece halibut was greasy and fishy. Hardly met expectations...the cheapest plate was 16 dollars and for those prices ....well I should have something positive to say. If you own a tourist trap establishment...and overcharge for mediocrasy ...you should be ashamed.

The staff looked rough...food was even rougher. Had a sloppily crafted chic sandwich...way too much sauce. Fries were overcooked and full of grease.

Some people might not be a fan of the dog thing, but given that it’s over an hour drive from the city and a lot of us fur parents like to bring our dogs on hikes and adventures it’s great!! I don’t think they allow dogs inside the restaurant so if it’s an issue you could always eat inside! :)

We showed up expecting to have to grab some food to go as it was way too hot to leave our dog in the car, but there were 3-4 other pooches outside at tables. Server even brought us a bowl of water for him!

Quaint place, nice outdoor seating. Good choice of dishes on the menu, food quality above average. Friendly staff and fast service.

We went on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered a salad and salmon burger. It took more than one hour from ordering the food to paying. If you are in a hurry, you might want to consider other alternatives.

Food is good. Service is slow. They might be under staffed. Or the staff are not as trained.
